Matthew Coleman

Matthew Coleman serves as the Associate Deputy Chief Inspector at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), a position held since 2000, where responsibilities include directing the Physical Security Program for a global workforce of over 15,000 employees across 300 offices in 70 countries. Coleman manages a budget of $22 million and supervises 75 direct reports, conducting physical security inspections and audits to combat threats and ensure compliance. Previous roles at the DEA include Section Chief for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East Region, where operational oversight of 25 foreign offices was provided, and various positions focused on dismantling transnational criminal organizations through collaboration with multiple agencies. Coleman also brings experience from IBM as a Senior Financial Analyst and holds an MBA in Finance and a BBA in Marketing from Pace University, alongside a Senior Leadership Program qualification from the University of Virginia.
