Daniel Abrahamson has a diverse work experience in the legal field. daniel started their career as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Hon. Gilbert S. Merritt, Jr., Chief Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 1991, where they worked until 1992. Following this, they served as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Hon. William L. Dwyer, United States District Court, W.D. Washington from 1992 to 1993. In 1996, they joined the Drug Policy Alliance as the Director of Legal Affairs, where they focused on litigation, legislative drafting, and community education relating to drug policies. Since 2015, Daniel has been associated with the Roots Community Health Center, holding roles such as Legal and Strategic Advisor and Special Counsel, Legal and Business Affairs.

Daniel Abrahamson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at Yale University from 1982 to 1986. daniel then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy and Politics at the University of Oxford from 1986 to 1988. Finally, they attended New York University School of Law from 1988 to 1991, earning their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
