Michael Ball

Michael Ball serves as Executive Chair of the Board at DrugBank since January 2025 and is a Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee at Nimbus Synergies, focusing on early-stage investments in health technology. As Founder and CEO of Marketech Solutions since 2018, Michael provides strategic expertise in precision health and related industries. Michael also contributes as a Strategic Advisor to BugSeq and Tag.bio, leveraging Generative AI for life sciences data insights. A long-term member of the Board of Directors at Canary Foundation, Michael is involved in initiatives aimed at early cancer detection. Additional roles include Associate at Creative Destruction Lab and Strategic Advisor at GENOOX. Previously, Michael was CEO and Board Director at Canexia Health, enabling the deployment of cancer genomic tests, and Global VP Commercial at Illumina, overseeing a significant revenue-generating unit. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Marketing and Computer Science from The University of British Columbia.
