Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative - DNDi
Charles Mowbray serves as Discovery Director and Drug Discovery Head at the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) since August 2011, leading multidisciplinary teams on projects for Human African Trypanosomiasis, Visceral Leishmaniasis, and Chagas disease. Mowbray enhances medicinal chemistry efforts at DNDi through advanced data analysis, predictive modeling, and collaboration with major pharmaceutical companies. Previously, Mowbray held the position of Research Fellow in Medicinal Chemistry at Pfizer from October 1992 to August 2011 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Nottingham and the University of British Columbia. Mowbray obtained a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and a BSc Hons in Chemistry from the University of Exeter.
