Eric Hjellming, CFEE, has a diverse work experience in event management, marketing, and leadership roles. In 2012, they interned at Drum Corps International, where they gained experience in marketing and promotions. From 2013 to 2018, Hjellming served as the Business Development Programs Manager for DCI's DrumLine Battle and SoundSport program lines. Their responsibilities included program management, participant recruitment, sponsor relationship management, marketing, and event management. During this time, they also worked as the Senior Event Operations Manager, managing the pre-event planning for DCI's Premier Events and serving as a team lead for on-site managers. In 2019, they became the President of the Board of Directors for the Indianapolis Symphonic Band, Inc, where they oversee the affairs and activities of the corporation. Prior to these roles, Hjellming held positions as a student assistant and student worker at Butler University in the admissions and deans offices of the Jordan College of Fine Arts.
Eric Hjellming, CFEE obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Arts Administration from Butler University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they have also earned certifications in the field of event management. Eric became a Certified Festival and Events Associate in January 2017 from the International Festivals & Events Association. Furthermore, in August 2020, they obtained the prestigious Certified Festival and Event Executive (CFEE) certification from the same institution.
