Tijuana Julian

EVP, Student Affairs & Dean, Students at Drury University

Dr. Tijuana Julian was appointed to her current position in 2004 after serving as Professor of Music and Chair of the Music Department for six years. During her tenure as chair, she implemented a feasibility study that resulted in Drury’s successful Music Therapy Program. She wrote the first self-study document submitted to the National Association of Schools of Music that led to accreditation by that organization. Julian is the recipient of the Burlington Northern Award for Faculty Achievement and the Drury Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Award. Julian is active in the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education organization and Association of Student Conduct Administrators (ASCA). She serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator and has received training through the Association of Title IX Administrators, ASCA and Husch-Blackwell. Her administrative experience in both academic affairs and student affairs provides a unique perspective of the total student experience and reinforces her belief in the importance of educating the whole person.
