Matt Gipple's work experience includes roles at various companies in different industries. Matt co-founded Dryvebox, a company that developed a solar-powered mobile trailer with advanced technology for golf enthusiasts. At Forward, they served as the Head of Legal, where they established the legal department, managed regulatory issues, and supported the company's funding round. As the General Counsel at Cruise, they oversaw legal, corporate governance, and compliance matters, and also led the Government Affairs function. Prior to that, they worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Maxine M. Chesney at the U.S. District Court, where they assisted with research and opinion drafting. Matt began their legal career at Latham & Watkins as an Associate, focusing on litigation and competition law. During their tenure, they handled various tasks including writing briefs, developing case strategies, and participating in trials.

Matt Gipple has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Stanford Law School, which they obtained in 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance, summa cum laude with honors, at the University of Arizona.
