Senior Technical Manager at NORDEN

Mads Vestergaard Nielsen has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Mads Vestergaard started their career with HDMS THETIS in 2005 as an Electrical Officer and later took on the role of Chief Engineer in 2006. Mads Vestergaard continued to work as a Chief Engineer in Camp Olaf Rye - KFOR hold 14 until August 2006. Mads then returned to HDMS THETIS and held the positions of Third Engineer from August 2006 to July 2008 and Second Engineer from July 2008 to July 2009.

In 2010, Mads joined the Royal Danish Navy as a Staff Officer Engineering at 1st Danish Squad and worked there until July 2013. Following their time in the navy, they rejoined HDMS THETIS as a Chief Engineer from August 2013 to December 2014.

Since 2014, Mads has been working for DS NORDEN, where they have held various positions. Mads Vestergaard started as a Technical Superintendent from December 2014 to August 2020. Then, they served as an External Vessel Manager from August 2020 to March 2021, followed by a promotion to Technical Manager from March 2021 to March 2022. Currently, Mads holds the position of Senior Technical Manager at DS NORDEN, starting from March 2022.

Mads Vestergaard Nielsen began their education at Teknisk Gymnasium Risskov from 1997 to 1999. Following this, they attended the Danish Naval Academy, where they pursued Marine Engineering Officer degree and studied Technology and Leadership from 2000 to 2005. Later, in 2009 and 2010, Mads furthered their education at the Danish Naval Academy, focusing on Leadership and Management.
