Data Scientist / Scientific Text Analyst at DSFederal

Kinnari Upadhyay has extensive work experience in the field of data science and bioinformatics. Kinnari started their career as a Bioinformatics Analyst at Hyperion Biotechnology in 2011, where they focused on normalizing and filtering datasets, clustering strains, and analyzing genome data. From 2012 to 2018, they worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst at OMNITEC Solutions, Inc., where they analyzed clinical and genomics data, presented findings to the research community, and worked with next-generation sequencing data.

In 2013, Kinnari joined Albert Einstein College of Medicine as a Bioinformatics Analyst. Here, they managed and analyzed high-throughput genomics datasets, designed and implemented algorithms and tools using scripting languages, and utilized machine learning and statistical methods for data interpretation.

In 2018, Kinnari became a Data Scientist at Science Systems and Applications, Inc (SSAI). In this role, they utilized predictive analytics, machine learning, and data mining techniques to predict sample types. Kinnari Upadhyay pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Homeopathic Medicine/Homeopathy from the Shree Mahalaxmiji Mahila Homeopathic Medical College, which they completed between 2002 and 2008. Subsequently, they enrolled at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Bioinformatics from 2009 to 2010.
