Adel Tantawy

Adel Tantawy currently serves as Vice President of Internal Control, Risk, and Compliance at dsm-firmenich since January 2020. With extensive experience in internal controls, risk management, and compliance, Adel previously held positions such as Head of Internal Controls Compliance at LyondellBasell and Strategy & Transformation Executive Director at Global Echelon Consulting. Key competencies include financial transformation, M&A deal structure, business valuation, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Earlier roles at AMD involved managing SOX compliance, enterprise risk management, and significant M&A activities, including the $6 billion acquisition of ATI. Previous to that, positions at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young focused on business advisory and assurance services. Adel holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management from Helwan University Cairo and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
