François Scheffler

François Scheffler has extensive work experience in the field of human nutrition and care. François started their career at Uniqema as an Industry Sales Manager before moving to BASF, where they held various leadership roles such as Head of Sales and Head of Product Management. At BASF, François was responsible for global marketing, development, technical marketing, regulatory affairs, and product management in the areas of human nutrition and pharmaceutical ingredients. François later joined DSM, first as the Regional Vice President for Human Nutrition and Care in the Asia Pacific region, leading the business group across various segments. In January 2022, François became the President of DSM Asia Pacific, overseeing all activities and areas of the company in the region, excluding China and India, with a focus on people and external affairs.

François Scheffler holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. François also earned a Diplomchemiker degree in Chemistry from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, from 1994 to 1995. Additionally, they completed a short-term course in Business Administration and Management, General, called "Mobilising people," at IMD in 2010.
