Howard Bowman

Howard "Bo" Bowman serves as the Vice President of Global Operations - Biomedical at dsm-firmenich since September 2025. Prior to this role, Bowman was the Managing Director of Operations and Site Director at Avanti Research from May 2023 to August 2025. Experience includes significant positions at Evonik, where Bowman worked from April 2012 to May 2023 as Site Head & Director of Operations and Global Technical Marketing Director. Additionally, Bowman held leadership roles at Surmodics, Folia, Inc., and Avanti Polar Lipids, Inc. with a strong foundation in research as a former Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Polymer Science & Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
