Tommy Hailes

Tommy Hailes is an experienced intellectual property attorney with a strong background in chemistry and materials sciences. Currently serving as IP Counsel at dsm-firmenich since November 2025, Tommy previously worked as an Associate at Kilburn & Strode, specializing in European and UK patent law from February 2023 to October 2025. Tommy's prior experience includes roles at Beck Greener LLP and EIP, focusing on patent preparation, prosecution, and contentious matters within the chemical sector. Tommy began a career in the research and development field as a Product Development Scientist at Chromition and has also gained valuable skills in project management and problem-solving through earlier roles in research and venue supervision. Academic credentials include an MChem in Chemistry from The University of Manchester and a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London.
