Ralph Jones has extensive experience in the legal field. Ralph began their career in 1996 as an Attorney/Legal Contractor for Business Objects Americas, Apple Computer, and other companies. In 1998, they became Corporate Counsel for Aspect Communications, where they negotiated multi-million dollar deals with Fortune 500 companies. In 2000, they moved to OpenTV as Corporate Counsel and managed strategic multi-million dollar carriage and satellite uplink sales and alliance agreements. In 2003, they became Legal Counsel for Health Hero Network, providing legal review and advice for the purchase, license or lease of enterprise software, consulting services, hosted services, facilities services, commercial leases, component manufacturing, and other goods and services. In 2005, they joined Adobe Systems as Legal Counsel, providing legal guidance to product and marketing teams on open source software license and Creative Commons content issues. In 2012, they became Legal Counsel for SanDisk Corporation, providing legal review, drafting and advice to contracts management, procurement, IT, marketing, HR, finance, facilities, corporate strategy, operations and other business units. In 2014, they moved to Xtime, Inc. as Legal Counsel. In 2015, they joined FLEX by Fenwick as an Attorney, representing clients such as Couchbase, Inc., ServiceNow, Inc., and Roku, Inc. In 2009, they opened their own firm, RUJones Law, where they provided legal counsel for multiple clients' sales and distribution, business development, product development, services, procurement, marketing, branding and corporate operations. In 2020, they became the Director of Legal Affairs for DSP Concepts.
Ralph Jones received their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of San Francisco School of Law between 1993 and 1996. Ralph then went on to receive an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
