João Silva

João Silva has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. João currently works as a Senior Business Analyst at DSR Corporation since October 2021. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Altice Labs, where they held various positions. From March 2020 to November 2021, they worked as a Senior Product Manager. From June 2011 to March 2020, they served as a Business Analyst/Solution Architect, handling project scoping, requirement elicitation, and backlog management. From June 2014 to September 2015, they worked as a Presales Engineer. Finally, from March 2009 to June 2011, they held the role of Requirement Analyst, where they were responsible for translating business requirements and maintaining product components repositories.

Before joining Altice Labs, João had experience at ITSector as a BI Consultant from July 2007 to January 2009, where they performed requirements elicitation and migration of reports. João also worked as a Web Developer at ITSector from December 2006 to August 2007, mainly focusing on small improvements to the Geotur travel website.

Furthermore, João gained early experience during an internship at Gestforma from January 2006 to September 2006, where they worked as a Web Developer. João was involved in a project for the Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology at the University of Porto, where they gathered requirements and developed a website for patient and sample tissue management.

João Silva obtained a Licentiate degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Universidade Portucalense (UPT) from 2000 to 2005. During the same period, they also earned a Graduate degree in Information Systems, Project Management from the same institution. In terms of additional certifications, João obtained the following: IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in April 2021, Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle in February 2015, Itil for development from ITIL Certified in January 2012, SAS Certified BI Content Developer for SAS 9 from SAS in March 2008, SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 (CBP) from SAS in March 2008, and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scopphu in May 2020.
