Jose Carlos Carvalho

Jose Carlos Carvalho has a diverse range of work experience in the IT field. Jose Carlos began their career as a Software Programmer in Microponto-Equipamentos e Serviços de Informática, Lda in 1990. Jose Carlos then worked as a Systems Engineer in IDITE-Minho, Instituto de Desenvolvimento e Inovação Tecnológica do Minho from 1997 to 2005. Following this, they held the role of Head of Systems Engineering in Comunidade Intermunicipal do Vale do Minho from 2006 to 2011, where they were responsible for various projects and strategic planning. Jose Carlos then worked as an IT/IS Solutions Architect in Comunidade Intermunicipal do Alto Minho from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2018, they worked as an Information Technology Business Consultant in Fundação Bienal de Cerveira and as a Senior Information Technology Manager in DST group. Most recently, they have worked as the Head of Information Technology and IT Director in dstelecom since 2013. Additionally, they became a Member of CIONET in 2020.

José Carlos Carvalho's education history begins with their high school education at Colégio Internato dos Carvalhos, which they attended from 1985 to 1990. During this time, they pursued a degree in Computer Science.

Subsequently, from 1991 to 1997, Carvalho studied at Universidade do Minho, where they obtained a degree in Systems Engineering and Computer Science with a focus on Networks and Communications.

In 2008, they attended Porto Business School for a brief period, completing the CGG ed39 program. This program covered various subjects such as Economics, Logistics, Management, HR, and Marketing.

Finally, in 2010, Carvalho returned to Porto Business School for a postgraduate program in Hospitality and Tourism Management. This program provided him with specialized knowledge in the field.
