Director Cybersecurity at DT Midstream

Christian Kopacsi has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information assurance. Christian currently serves as the Director of Cybersecurity at DT Midstream since April 2021. Previously, they worked at Consumers Energy as the Director of Cyber Threat, Response & Adversary Operations from November 2014 to March 2021. Additionally, they have served as an Adjunct Professor at Walsh College from July 2014 to December 2018, teaching information assurance.

Earlier in their career, Christian held various roles including CSO and Deputy Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection at the State of Michigan (August 2015 to July 2016), AVP of Information Security at Chemical Bank (March 2008 to October 2014), and Information Security Officer at Ascension Information Services (January 2007 to March 2008). Christian has also worked as a Senior Security Consultant at Analysts International Group (October 2006 to December 2006) and a Senior Information Risk Consultant at Rehmann (November 2005 to October 2006). Christian began their career as an Information Security Officer at Community Mental Health for Central Michigan from October 2002 to November 2005.

Christian Kopacsi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance from Davenport University in 2009. Christian then went on to complete a Master's degree in Information Security Management from Fort Hays State University in 2012. Throughout their career, Christian also obtained several certifications including SFCP from Sourcefire in 2013, CISM from ISACA in 2009, CHFI from EC-COUNCIL in 2007, CISSP from ISC2 in 2004, CEH from EC-COUNCIL in 2003, Security+ from CompTIA in 2002, and various certifications from GIAC Certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, GMON, GNFA, and GSLC.
