Dave Betts

Dave Betts, CSP, currently serves as the Corporate Manager of Safety and Industrial Hygiene at DTE Energy since September 2010, where responsibilities include leading safety and health initiatives to align with organizational goals. Prior to this role, Dave Betts held the position of Corporate Manager of Safety & Security at Holcim (US) Inc from August 1997 to May 2010, directing safety programs for 2,700 employees across numerous manufacturing and terminal locations. Earlier experience includes managing safety and health for Boral Bricks as Corporate Director, overseeing programs for 1,900 employees, and working as an Occupational Safety & Health Engineer at Brown and Root Environmental Corporation. Dave Betts began a career in safety as a Senior Loss Control Representative at Crum and Forster Commercial Insurance. Dave Betts holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
