Matthew Wagner

Matthew Wagner has extensive experience in the energy and environmental fields, currently serving as Manager of Renewable Energy Development at DTE Energy since February 1996, overseeing wind and solar project development, community engagement, and permitting. Previous roles at DTE Energy include Manager of Wind Development and Manager of Wind Site Development, where responsibilities encompassed site management, wildlife and wind resource assessments, and easement acquisitions. Prior to DTE Energy, Matthew was a Senior Environmental Engineer and Project Manager at Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc., managing accounts related to environmental remediation, and worked as a Group Leader at ENCOTEC, Inc. overseeing environmental consulting projects. Matthew began his career as an Environmental Engineer and Certification Team Leader at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, focusing on vehicle emissions and certification processes. Academically, Matthew holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Penn State University.
