Tanner Verstegen

Tanner Verstegen is a seasoned meteorologist with extensive experience in weather risk management, particularly within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Weather Risk Manager at DTN since August 2015, Tanner leads a team of 12 meteorologists and collaborates with utility customers to tailor solutions to their operational needs. Previous roles include Energy Meteorologist II, where Tanner conducted market research and presented webinars, and Staff Meteorologist at Schneider Electric, providing graphical forecast support and consulting services. As the founder of Midwest Weather Inc., Tanner developed and marketed weather forecasts for over 2 million viewers. Additional experience includes internships in weather and social media roles, enhancing communication and forecasting skills. Tanner holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
