Dhanushka Abeywardana - BSc, Dip

Dhanushka Abeywardana has a diverse work experience in the apparel industry. They started their career at Ocean Lanka (Pvt) Ltd as a Merchandiser in February 2014 before moving on to Esquel Group, where they worked as a Planning Executive from November 2014 to September 2017. Abeywardana then joined Hela Clothing as an Assistant Manager Planning/Head of Planning in October 2017 and held this position until August 2021. During their time at Hela Clothing, they achieved notable accomplishments such as implementing a special project on inventory optimization and developing a data visualizing tool for planning optimizations. Currently, Abeywardana is working at DTRT Apparel as a Manager Planning/Head of Planning. In their current role, they have the responsibility of enhancing production by three-fold and collaborating with department heads to align operational priorities with the overall company direction. They are also playing a key role in optimizing production capacity for the company's expansion drive.

Dhanushka Abeywardana obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Peradeniya, graduating in 2014. During the same time, they also pursued a Professional Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, completing it in 2014.
