Ali al Awadi

Ali Al Awadi, M.Eng. has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ali began their career at Etisalat in 2003, where they worked as a Cell Planning Engineer. In 2008, they joined du as an Engineer in Terminals & SIM Services and later moved to the Messaging Planning team, where they gained expertise in technical and project management domains. Throughout their time at du, Ali held various positions, including Senior Engineer in Signaling & Messaging, Senior Manager in Signaling & Messaging Planning, and Acting Director in VAS, Signaling, and Roaming Planning. From 2018 to 2023, they served as the Director of Artificial Intelligence and Value Added Services Planning, where they played a key role in developing and implementing AI strategies. Ali's most recent role at du is Vice President and Head of Technology Service Enablement. Currently, they are a VP and Head of Infra Commercial and Business Development at du. Overall, Ali Al Awadi has extensive experience and knowledge in telecommunication infrastructure, service planning, and artificial intelligence.

Ali Al Awadi, M.Eng. has a diverse education history. In 2020, they completed the Harvard ManageMentor program at Harvard Business School, focusing on Harvard Leadership Accelerators. Additionally, they participated in a course at the MIT Sloan School of Management, exploring the implications of Artificial Intelligence for Business Strategy.

Ali obtained their Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia, earning a perfect GPA. Ali achieved this degree between 2007 and 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the same university between 2004 and 2006.

For their early education, Ali attended Seneca Polytechnic in Toronto, Canada, where they studied Electronic Engineering from 2002 to 2003. Ali started their educational journey at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Shj, UAE, where they obtained a Higher Diploma in Applied Electronics and Computer Systems from 1999 to 2002.
