Soumya Basu, PhD, is an experienced FPGA and Embedded Software Engineer currently employed at duagon since March 2020. Prior to this role, Soumya worked as an FPGA specialist at Thales from May 2019 to January 2020 and conducted doctoral research at EPFL, focusing on hardware/software co-design methodologies for ultra-low power bio-signal processing devices from October 2014 to April 2019. A visiting researcher at Stanford University in mid-2018, Soumya contributed to projects on smart wireless body sensor nodes. Previous experience includes an internship at THALES ALENIA SPACE and a position as a scientific associate at the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Soumya holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from EPFL, a Master of Science in Embedded Systems from Politecnico di Torino, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from Jadavpur University.
