Michael A. Gillen

Michael A. Gillen is the current Director of the Tax Accounting Group at Duane Morris. Michael has over 40 years of experience in accounting and finance, holding various positions such as President of PICPA, Manager at Bowman & Company, LLP, and Chief Financial Officer at America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. In September 1983, they began working at Price Waterhouse as the Manager of Tax Planning and Compliance and stayed there for four years until they joined BDO Seidman, LLP as a Staff Accountant in June 1979. Michael has been an active member of the accounting community throughout their career, and continues to be an advocate for the profession.

Michael A. Gillen has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management with an accounting concentration from Philadelphia University (now Jefferson). Michael also has certification from the AICPA/PA State Board of Accountancy as a CPA.
