Du Anyam

Du Anyam is a social enterprise that produces and distributes wicker crafts to empower women, promote culture, and improve livelihoods in rural Indonesia. By connecting the existing skill and resources in the women community, Du Anyam provides economic empowerment to rural women, allowing them to access better nutrition and education for their children. Today, Du Anyam works with over 500 women across 20 villages in East Flores, Indonesia, increasing their income by 40%. Du Anyam partners with hotels and companies to supply more than 50,000 high-quality, functional wicker crafts with added social marketing value. In 2018, Du Anyam is also selected to be the only social enterprise and craft-based company to be the official merchandiser of ASIAN GAMES 2018. To grow its business and expand its impact, Du Anyam replicates its women economic empowerment program to other areas of Indonesia, including Lembata Island, Nabire in Papua, and Berau in East Kalimantan.
