Javier Castillon

Javier Castillon's work experience includes serving as the Director of Research and Horticultural Operations at Duarte Nursery, Inc. since July 2002. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist at E. & J. Gallo Winery from November 2000 to July 2002. Javier also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the USDA-ARS from November 1997 to August 2000, and at the same organization from July 1995 to August 1997.

Javier Castillon earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Javier later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Physiology and Biotechnology at the same university, completing their studies from 1990 to 1994.
