Magoshi MacHika

Magoshi Machika, CDMP has a diverse work experience that spans over several roles. Magoshi is currently working as the Head of Data Governance at Dubai Islamic Bank where they oversee the function of the data governance team and executes the data governance framework, policy, and standards. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Governance and Data Management at Standard Bank Group. Magoshi has also held positions such as Chief Data Architect at SITA SOC (Ltd), Enterprise Data and Information Architect at Absa Bank, IT Business Manager and Corporate Data Manager at City Power, and Data Manager at MTN. Magoshi Machika's early career includes a role as Deputy Director in IT at the Department of Education in Limpopo Province. Magoshi has extensive experience in managing data and information, developing data strategies, and ensuring data quality across various organizations.

Magoshi Machika, CDMP, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Statistics from the University of Pretoria, which was earned between 1993 and 1997. In 2006, they obtained an ITIL Certificate from IT GURU. In 2008, Magoshi became TOGAF 8 Certified through The Open Group. Additionally, in 2011, they completed a CDMP Certificate at DAMA SA. Finally, from 2012 to 2015, Magoshi pursued a Master's degree in Information Technology at Vaal University of Technology.
