Sami al Awadi

Sami Al Awadi is an experienced professional in compliance and administration with a career spanning over two decades. Currently, Sami leads the Administration and serves as the Group Chief Compliance Officer at Dubai Islamic Bank since April 2020. Prior roles include Chief Compliance Officer at Noor Bank and Head of Fraud Prevention & Investigations at Commercial Bank of Dubai. Additional experience includes senior management in fraud prevention at Emirates NBD and handling Anti-Money Laundering functions at Noor Islamic Bank. Sami began a career in law enforcement as a Police Officer with Dubai Police, holding the rank of Captain before transitioning into the banking sector. Sami holds a license in Law obtained from Dubai Police College.
