Abimael Barbosa

Abimael Barbosa currently serves as a Regional Advisor for Latin America and Southeast Asia at Dublin City University, focusing on developing international student recruitment strategies. Prior experience includes roles at University College Cork as a Latin America & Caribbean Strategy & Engagement Assistant, where Abimael designed webinars and coordinated campus visits to increase international student enrollment. Abimael also held interim responsibilities overseeing EU postgraduate recruitment and retention, alongside social coordination for an International Summer School program. Earlier experience at IOM - UN Migration involved training partners to enhance program awareness, achieving significant increases in participation and reach. Abimael holds a Master's degree in International Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese Language and Literature, both obtained from University College Cork.
