Frank Harnett

Frank is a Counsellor and Assistant Psychologist with Dublin Mind Clinic. Frank focuses on using an integrative approach, drawing on different therapeutic techniques to accommodate his client’s needs. Frank has worked with child and adult groups in educational and therapeutic settings around the world.

Frank graduated from Maastricht University with an MSc (Hons) in Neuropsychology in 2020. As part of his thesis, he explored the relationship between language and number processing mechanisms in brain-injured patients, which he titled ‘The Role of the Approximate Number System’. Frank carried out his research project in partnership with the University of Oxford, where he spent 7 months working as a Research Assistant.

Frank also holds a BSc degree in Psychology from the University of Limerick in 2017. Frank received a publication in the Journal of Health Psychology based on findings from his thesis project (The Foetus Versus The Woman), which explored the negotiation of rights using discursive methods, in the context of abortion.

Frank also works as a Rehabilitation Assistant with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Ireland, providing emotional and physical support for people living with a brain injury. The mission of this role is to enable survivors to reach their full potential, make their own personal choices and achieve their goals.

Frank is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
