Dave Chalk

Dave Chalk is a seasoned professional with 35 years of experience in the steel and specialty chemical industries, having retired in June 2019. Since April 2012, Dave served as a Principal Research Scientist at DuBois Chemicals, Inc., focusing on product development of modern transition metal and organic conversion coatings to enhance corrosion performance and adhesion of painted metals. Prior to this role, Dave held positions as Principal Research Chemist at Galaxy Associates, Inc., which was acquired by DuBois Chemicals in 2012, and as Senior Chemist at Nalco Chemical Company and TEXO Corp. Dave began a career as a Research and Development Engineer at Armco Inc., gaining expertise in steel making, metallurgy, corrosion mechanisms, and various coating applications. Dave holds a Ph.D., MS, and BS in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati.
