Christa Burgess

Christa Burgess is an experienced educator and career coach, currently serving as a VERTEX Career Coach at Dubuque Community School District since January 2023, where responsibilities include coaching students at Hempstead High School on career exploration and academic planning while partnering with local businesses for work-based learning opportunities. Previously, Christa worked at Northeast Iowa Community College from June 2015 to May 2023, fulfilling roles such as The College Experience Course Instructor, Career and Work-Based Learning Program Manager, and College and Career Coach, focusing on guiding students in career exploration and academic success. An early role at Two by Two Character Development involved teaching character education programs in Dubuque schools. Christa holds a Master of Science in Education-Counseling from Concordia University-Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston.
