Pavlina Slezak

Pavlina Slezak is a Geographic Information System Specialist at Ducks Unlimited, with responsibilities including managing National Wetlands Inventory updates in the western U.S. Previous experience includes a role as a Geographic Information System Intern, where digitization of over 100 quads for inventory updates was achieved and wetland field verification was conducted. Volunteering for Bark - Defending & Restoring Mt. Hood involved ground-truthing timber sales, characterizing forest composition, and assessing wetlands for beaver reintroduction potential. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology from Occidental College, complemented by roles as a Biology Teaching Assistant and Independent Researcher, focusing on species distribution models and ecological research. Additionally, a research experience at Eastern Kentucky University involved studying bird foraging behavior and habitat assessment.
