Ryan Taylor

Ryan Taylor serves as the Director of Public Policy for Ducks Unlimited, leading initiatives across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana to conserve waterfowl habitats. Taylor manages the Taylor Ranch, a family cattle operation established in 1903, while also providing freelance writing and communication services through Sandhill Communications. Previous experience includes serving as State Director of Rural Development for the USDA, where oversight was provided for a $3 billion loan portfolio, and being awarded a Bush Fellowship to study oil development policies in Norway. As a former County Commissioner and State Senator, Taylor has a strong background in agricultural policy and governance, having run for both state agriculture commissioner and governor of North Dakota. Educational qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and mass communications from North Dakota State University.
