Deepak H. Veeregowda

Deepak H. Veeregowda, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various roles. Deepak began their career at Northwestern University, where they worked as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher for five months in 2008. Deepak then joined Ducom Instruments as a Product Manager from February 2008 to February 2009. After a brief period, they joined ASMEC Advanced Surface Mechanics GmbH as an Application Developer from September 2011 to February 2012. Deepak returned to Ducom Instruments in January 2013, this time as the Business Development Manager for Europe until April 2016. Deepak then became the Head of Global Marketing and Sales, leading a multinational team and achieving notable sales revenue. Currently, Deepak is at RUG Ventures, where they work as an Investment Manager and Innovation Consultant from April 2022 onwards.

Deepak H. Veeregowda, Ph.D. pursued their education at different institutions and obtained degrees in various fields. In 2006-2007, they attended the University of Mississippi, where they achieved a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, from 2009 to 2012, Deepak enrolled at the University of Groningen, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Tribology, a specialization within mechanical engineering. Moving forward to 2019-2020, they pursued a Diploma Programme in Digital Transformation at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Through these academic endeavors, Deepak has developed expertise in mechanical engineering, tribology, and digital transformation.
