Duijvestijn Tomaten has been a passionate grower of tasty, high-quality tomatoes and tomato products for almost 60 years. Over the years we have increasingly specialized in sustainable production and the development of new (tomato) products and concepts. We have evolved into one of the most innovative and sustainable tomato growers in the world and we are now a front runner when it comes to developing new and sustainable ways to grow, sort, and package crops. We believe that when our tomatoes are grown with much love and with respect for people and planet, they also taste better! Innovation and sustainability are therefore important parts of our business. We are one of the first horticultural companies to heat our greenhouses with geothermal energy. In addition, we developed a new type of greenhouse concept. The completely new construction makes it possible to save 60% of energy. For all these efforts, we were voted Best Tomato Grower in the World 2015 at the Tomato Inspiration Event in Berlin. We are still a bit proud of that! At our family business in Pijnacker, we currently grow on nearly 25 hectares. Our (around 180) employees work with a great deal of dedication on growing, caring for, harvesting, sorting and packaging various types of tomatoes. Quality and taste always guide us. To be able to harvest the best tomatoes every year, they are picked by hand and undergo a rigorous selection process and strict quality checks. Our tomatoes are delivered to supermarkets, food service companies, wholesalers and specialty shops in the Netherlands and abroad. We are also a producer of oven-dried tomatoes.
