Marcus Cooksey has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. In 1997, they started their career as a Software Engineer at Nortel Networks, where they worked until 2000. Marcus then joined Nokia Siemens Networks as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2005.

In 2005, Cooksey moved to Texas Instruments and held various positions over the years. Marcus started as an Applications Engineer for Voice Over Cable Product Line and later transitioned to the IP Phone Product Line, where they designed and implemented test frameworks. Marcus then became an Applications Engineer for the DaVinci Product Line, leading a project that resulted in Amazon selecting TI DM3725 processor for their first-generation Amazon Echo devices. Finally, they worked as a Business Development Manager, responsible for developing customer relationships.

In 2015, Cooksey founded LUI Transport LLC, where they served as the Founder until June 2020. Since May 2018, they have been the CEO of DUKE.AI, a company that develops Robotic Process Automation solutions for transportation, manufacturing, and logistics, focusing on their automated bookkeeping and invoicing app called DUKE.ai.

Marcus Cooksey attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
