Arif Kamal MD, MBA, MHS currently serves as Chief Patient Officer at the American Cancer Society and President of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Arif Kamal is also Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prepped Health, which focuses on patient engagement tools for individuals facing serious illnesses. Additionally, Arif Kamal holds the position of Associate Consulting Professor of Medicine at Duke Cancer Institute and is a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Previous roles include Physician Quality and Outcomes Officer at Duke Cancer Institute and Fellowships in Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Palliative Medicine at prestigious institutions such as Duke and Mayo Clinic. Arif Kamal completed an MBA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master of Health Sciences at Duke University, and an MD at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
