Christopher Nellis

Christopher Nellis has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Christopher began their career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Student Software Developer from May 2015 to August 2016. Christopher then joined Revature as a Software Developer from August 2016 to October 2017. In October 2017, Christopher joined Duke Energy Corporation as a Software Engineer and progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer from September 2019 to June 2021. Christopher currently holds the position of Lead Software Engineer at Duke Energy Corporation, starting in July 2021.

Christopher Nellis has a Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science, which they obtained from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2014, they attended Appalachian State University, where they studied Computer Information Systems. Before their college education, Christopher attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics from 2010 to 2012 for their high school education.

In addition to their formal education, Christopher has also obtained additional certifications. In August 2021, they became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Christopher also earned the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle in January 2017.
