E. Marie McKee

E. Marie McKee is the current director at Duke Energy. E. previously served as the president and board of trustees for the Corning Museum of Glass from January 2000 to December 2014. During their time at the Corning Museum of Glass, Marie was responsible for the merger of the nonprofit museum and the company retail/display operation. E. also led a $75 million expansion that doubled the exhibits, added glass-making demonstrations, and created a visitor glass-making program that yielded $1 million in new annual income.

Marie has won added corporate financial support and a significant increase in outside donations, enabling their to grow the annual operating budget from $22 to $42 million. E. also increased attendance by 28% to 405,000 annually and extended the average visit time from 2 to 4.5 hours. The Corning Museum of Glass extended its mission to “Tell the World about Glass” by demonstrating glass making at sea on the Celebrity Solstice Cruise line of Royal Caribbean.

E. Marie McKee has a Bachelor's degree in Education from Purdue University and a Master's degree in Education from Purdue University.
