Jay Alvaro

Jay Alvaro serves as the Vice President of Employee and Labor Relations at Duke Energy Corporation, where a professional career spans from April 2006 to the present. Prior roles at Duke Energy include Vice President of Labor Relations, Vice President of Total Rewards, Vice President of Human Resources for the Commercial Business, and Managing Director of Labor Relations. Before joining Duke Energy, Jay Alvaro worked at Cinergy from July 1996 to April 2006 in positions such as Director of Human Resources and Senior Counsel for Labor and Employment. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University and a law degree from Northern Kentucky University—Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
