Kevin Ellis

Kevin Ellis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs, policy, and emergency preparedness within the nuclear sector. Since November 2016, Kevin has held multiple roles at Duke Energy Corporation, currently serving as General Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Policy, and Emergency Preparedness, with previous positions including Director of Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Support Services Manager. Prior experience includes a tenure at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from October 2007 to November 2016, where Kevin served as Senior Resident Inspector and held various engineer roles. Early career experience at Norfolk Naval Shipyard involved qualifications as a Nuclear Shift Refueling Engineer for Ohio Class submarines and expertise in transferring Naval Nuclear Spent Fuel. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, completed in 2002.
