Rick Canavan

Rick Canavan has a diverse background in operations and resource management, highlighted by a tenure as Director of Operations at Duke Energy Corporation from December 2015 to December 2019. Prior roles at Duke Energy included Director of Resource and Work Management and Manager of Contractor Resources. Before this, Rick served in the United States Marine Corps from July 1997 to July 2002 as a Sergeant and Work Center Supervisor, overseeing the maintenance and repair of avionics equipment for military aircraft and managing logistics for equipment transportation. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Management from East Carolina University, where involvement in the Institute for Supply Management’s Eastern North Carolina Chapter was noted.
