Shari Smith

Shari Smith has extensive work experience in strategic sourcing and procurement. Shari has worked for Duke Energy Corporation since 2001, starting as a Senior Corporate Recruiter and later transitioning to roles such as Senior Sourcing Specialist and Strategic Sourcing Lead. Their responsibilities included procurement of major capital equipment and services, contract negotiations, vendor management, and risk management. Shari also worked on merger integration projects and developed category sourcing strategies. Prior to Duke Energy, Shari worked as a Sr. Technical Recruiter for Nortel Networks and held various roles in IT consulting staffing companies.

Shari Smith pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 1988 to 1992.
