Yongqing Wang

Lead Engineer at Duke Energy

Yongqing Wang has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. From 1995 to 2004, they worked as a Senior Engineer at the Testing and Failure Analysis Center in Beijing, where they conducted metallurgical failure analysis on various components made from different materials. In 2007, they joined SIFCO Industries, Inc as a Senior Materials Scientist/Coating Process Engineer, focusing on the research and development of advanced high-temperature coatings for engine components. Yongqing then moved on to Chromalloy in 2011, where they served as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer, specializing in coatings and coating processes for industrial gas turbine components. In 2012, they joined Siemens Energy as a Fellow Engineer, contributing to repair process R&D. Most recently, Yongqing Wang has been working at Duke Energy Corporation since 2015, holding the position of Lead Engineer and focusing on repair quality and service performance of engine components.

Yongqing Wang started their education journey in 1988 at Central South University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. This program lasted from 1988 to 1992. Following that, from 1992 to 1995, Yongqing Wang attended Beihang University for a Master of Science degree in Metal Materials and Heat Treatment.

After a gap of several years, Yongqing Wang resumed their educational pursuits in 2004, when they enrolled at Tennessee Technological University. There, they pursued a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, which they successfully completed in 2006.

In 2013, Yongqing Wang decided to further enhance their educational background by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This program took place from 2013 to 2015, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General.
