Hana Hendi

DSG Vice President Of Services And Sustainability at Duke Student Government

Hana Hendi has a diverse work experience. Hana started as a Summer Intern at Cisco in 2017. In 2018 and 2019, they worked as a Research Fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center, focusing on karyopherins in the Chook Lab. Hana also participated in the UT Southwestern STARS Research Program and the SURF Program. In 2019, Hana became the Marketing and Submissions Coordinator and Journal Editorial Board Member at Juhood Magazine, where they managed external outreach and amplified diverse voices. In 2020, they worked as a Research Analyst in the Duke University Animal Locomotion Laboratory, analyzing patterns in arboreal locomotion and gaze-tracking. Hana also held leadership positions in various organizations at Duke University, including being a DSG Vice President of Services and Sustainability, a DSG Senator of Services and Sustainability, and the President of the Duke Muslim Students Association. Currently, Hana is pursuing an Independent Study at Duke University School of Medicine.

Hana Hendi pursued their education at Brighter Horizons Academy College Preparatory from 2015 to 2019, where they earned their High School Diploma. Hana then attended Duke University from 2019 to 2023, majoring in Biology with a focus on Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
