Alexis Carpenter

Alexis Carpenter is an experienced professional in the fields of innovation, environmental science, and education. Currently serving as Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Scientist at Triad Growth Partners and AxNano since January 2015, Alexis establishes technical strategies and leads research focused on solving environmental problems affecting human health. Additionally, as an instructor at Duke University, Alexis co-teaches the Design Climate course and coaches student teams in the New Ventures Clinic on sustainable business strategies in energy transformation and climate resilience. Alexis also held a postdoctoral associate position at Duke University and has a solid academic foundation, holding a PhD in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Chemistry from Virginia Tech.
