Joshua Miller is a Civil and Environmental Engineering PhD student at Duke University, with extensive research experience in environmental science and engineering. Joshua served as a Research Fellow at the National Energy Technology Laboratory, focusing on metal recovery from coal industry waste and the environmental impacts of unconventional oil and gas extraction. Prior to that, Joshua was a Student Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, working on beneficial reuse and geochemistry of coal combustion byproducts. Additional experience includes an Environmental Intern role at Kwest Group, performing stormwater pollution prevention inspections, and various roles in customer service and engineering internships. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from The Ohio State University.
