Naoki Suzuki Cartes

Naoki Suzuki Cartes is a MBA candidate at Duke University. Naoki has worked as a strategy and operations manager at Uber, where they refined the product catalog and focused the sales department strategy on fewer but better products, boosting sales by 11%. Naoki also conducted due diligence for an acquisition by analyzing the company's legal status and documentation, forewarning the CEO of $900K in contingencies and improving negotiation by 8%.

Before their time at Uber, Naoki was a MBA candidate at Duke University. Naoki was a MSTeM major (eligible for 3 years of OPT) and received the Fuqua Merit Scholarship. Naoki was also a TA for Financial Management and Financial Accounting. In addition to their academic pursuits, they were also soccer club co-president and Latin American Association cabinet member.

Previously, Naoki was the head of finance at WENCO S.A. from March 2014 to August 2020. Before that, they completed an internship at IM trust from August 2013 to October 2013. Her first professional role was as a rainwater project assistant at DICTUC from December 2011 to January 2012. Naoki also spent some time working in a warehouse at Trane from December 2010 to January 2011.

Naoki Suzuki Cartes began their educational career by obtaining a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Mención Ingeniería Hidráulica from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Naoki then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Finally, they completed their education by earning a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
