Erik Vinson, GISP, possesses extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and civil engineering utilities design, spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a custom designer at Lucky Duck Creations since September 2020, Erik previously held roles including Senior GIS CAD Technician at Duke's, where responsibilities included converting CAD data to GIS data and creating GIS databases for water and sewer projects. A former GIS Analyst at WithersRavenel and ATMC, Erik played pivotal roles in asset management plans and data migration projects. With a strong foundation in drafting and design from positions at Hydrostructures, Timmons Group, Camp Dresser & McKee, and early career experiences at Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates and Borum, Wade and Associates, Erik has continually developed technical skills in software like ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and Civil3D. Erik's educational credentials include a Graduate Certificate in GIS from NC State University, a BA in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and an AS in Architectural Technology from Sandhills Community College.
